The Tempe Police Department is actively investigating the incident, treating it as a property crime. Local media outlets, including the Arizona Republic, reported that this is not the first time the campaign office has been targeted; a previous shooting involving what appeared to be pellet or BB gun rounds occurred on September 16.
Visual evidence from the scene revealed multiple bullet holes, including two in the door and two more in nearby windows. Sean McEnerney, the Arizona Democratic Party’s coordinated campaign manager, expressed relief that no one was present during the incident, stating, “We are grateful to Tempe Police for coming quickly to the scene and are fortunate no one was present or injured.”
